Company CEO Joseph Perrotto says, “We wanted to build a walk-behind lawn mower like the ones we grew up with, mowers that were really built to last, not to be replaced every couple years.” The new DR® Self-Propelled 22″ Mower has a deck made of cast aluminum that comes with a lifetime warranty. It is equipped with a professional-quality Subaru OHV engine. Ball-bearing mounted wheels not only make maneuvering simple, but last longer than standard wheel mechanisms, without the need for repair or replacement. The self-propelled drive is adjustable to the operator’s walking pace, so mowing is always easy and comfortable.

“The lifetime warranty on the deck is really unique,” says Perrotto, “Most companies don’t make products that are durable enough to warrant that these days. With the use of thin sheet metal or plastic parts on the rise, especially in the big-box stores, cracked or rusted-out decks have become a real problem.”

The DR Self-Propelled 22″ Mower is the company’s first foray into gas-powered walk-behind finish mowers. Although they carry an array of popular Trimmer/Mowers, Field and Brush Mowers, and Z-Steer mowers, up until now, DR has shied away from the competitive world of lawn mowers.
